This policy explains what personal data AnimeVilla Online (animevilla.online) collects, why, who processes it, and how to ask us about it. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Visit statistics (Google Analytics). Through the Google Site Kit plugin, Google Analytics records the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location and the site that sent you here. It sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_*. Google processes this data. We use it to see which pages people read. - Visit statistics (Jetpack Stats). Jetpack, run by Automattic, counts page views for the site owner. Automattic processes this data.
- Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Cloudflare, which delivers the site, counts page views and measures how fast pages load. It does not set cookies.
- Comments. When you comment we store your name, email address, website (optional), the comment, your IP address and your browser user agent. Your email address is not shown publicly. If you tick “Save my name, email, and website”, your browser keeps them in cookies for the next comment. Avatars are shown next to comments, so a hash of your email address is sent to Automattic’s Gravatar service to look up your avatar.
- Email notifications. If you tick “Notify me of new posts by email” or “Notify me of follow-up comments by email”, Jetpack (Automattic) stores your email address to send those emails. Each email has an unsubscribe link.
- Security and delivery. Cloudflare delivers the site, and Jetpack’s firewall and login protection screen traffic. Both handle your IP address and request details to block attacks.
We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising on the site.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for the retention period set in our Analytics account, at most 14 months. Comments are kept, with the name, email address and IP address stored with them, until they are deleted. Notification subscriptions last until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from notifications) at any time. Email [email protected]. If you are in India and are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
The site is not meant to collect data from children. If you are under 18, please do not comment or subscribe without a parent’s consent.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
